An introduction to the joy of movement for our beginning dancers ages 3-8. Classes include elements of rhythm, movement quality, space, body awareness and character, as well as introduction techniques to ballet and jazz.
This class teaches, grace, poise, style, and discipline. In this class, students will be introduced to basic ballet fundamentals, including body alignment, vocabulary, and basic positions and barre technics. Students will have skills test at end of the year for advancement to pointe class.
Our classes begin with warm-up exercises focusing on flexibility, strength, and coordination to music. The rest of the class is a combination of across the floor exercises and high energy movements creating exciting dance routines.
We teach athletic dance style with urban influences as seen in music videos. This is a High Energetic class atmosphere where dancers experience a fun workout where they are free to let themselves go and show personality.
This class is designed to develop rhythm, style and sound. Students will learn a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.
Classes are broken down by skill level. The primary focus of this class is the floor exercise and tumbling skills. No other gymnastics equipment will be used in this class. Emphasis is placed on development proper form and technique for tumbling skills such as forward and backwards rolls, front and back walkovers, cartwheels, and round offs. Great attention is paid to body awareness and understanding how the body performs through tumbling skills.
Piano, Guitar, and Voice lessons are offered in both small group and private sessions. Our teachers are qualified professionals, either with music degrees or working towards them. We have flexible scheduling and a fun and productive environment.
All students engage in theater arts workshops that will prepare them for the end of the year production. Theater Arts workshops are held in Spring and Fall Semester.
